Teacher Quality and Training

As a program I need to guarantee the quality of teachers in order to insure students progress and enjoy the learning process.

Prioritized MD

As a program I need to guarantee the quality of material in order to insure students progress and enjoy the learning process.

Workflow:

  1. Rinchen coordinates level managers (A1 Ten Doje, A2 Chime, A2+ Yonga, B1 Rinchen, B1+B2+ Jampa)
  2. Rinchen trains level managers
  3. Level managers check upcoming lessons and identify issues such as:
  4. Any activity containing “མིང་ཚིག” “རྒྱན་ཚིག” བྱ་ཚིག" MUST BE REDONE
  5. Replace "sample sentence / དཔེར་བརྗོད་བཟོ་བ།’ activities (not essential)
  6. Any other unapproved ACTIVITIES must be redone (if NOT IN “COLUMN E” of ACTIVITY LIST)
  7. Incorrect layout format (ex. missing icons)
  8. "Input not matching the final creation
  9. (A1-A+ - half half for B1 is okay for now? only if urgent! B1+ CLIL only)"
  10. Time of input audio/text too long or too short (refer Audio length tab)
  11. Level of input too high for the level
  12. Activity improvement ideas?? (need more suggested activities?)
  13. Connection to arapatsa (words using same?)
    1. get an existing SOP from Drongbu
    1. words are same?
    1. ask rinchen what else would be in this list?
  14. Skill in focus (also of activies) is not matching the final creation
  15. Check Arapatsa content (for B1+ & B2+ for exemple)
  16. Previously Unapprove mission (same as step 5a)
  17. Rinchen discuss issues with the TSL team and decide what can be fixed short term and what needs to be left for later

Ongoing Assessment

As a program I need to track the progress of students in order to insure students progress and …

Workflow:

  • Khandro coordinates the assessment done by level managers for their respective levels
  • Khandro trains level managers
  • Emilia + Khandro + level managers pick an assessment team
  • Level managers + assessment team assess the progress of students by
    • comparing initial and final creations
    • check the can-do statements by looking for signs in videos / creations
    • identify weakness areas / missions that need to be redone
  • Level manager update the student dashboard by
    • tick the QC in Can-dos,
    • recomend mission that needs to be re-done
