For example, you might know: མགྲོན་ ཁང་།
Or you might have heard: “ཤོག་ད!” or “འདིར་ཤོག!” (hint: it’s related to འགྲོ་ / ཡོང་ / etc)
Do you have a guess what they could mean together, in that context?
I remember watching a video from Trashi where he says ཤོག using as “come”. Like as “come here”. But after class I understood it as “letter”. Is that the meaning?

btw, i don’t know for sure, either. actually, your comment just now made me think ཤོག་ could come from ཤོག་གུ་, “paper”… but my guess would be the same either way

An invitation, yes. མགྲོན་ is a guest (like མགྲོན་ཁང་, guesthouse), so I am guessing you are inviting them to something.
