Currently, Language Guides are trained give just 10 minutes of mission time to go over the homework & the previous mission creation with the student. This is because there is no assessment standard for the time students may spend, or how much they need to know, from the homework before attempting the mission.
During the mission, it is very important is that the Language Guide has time to check the student’s actual ability to achieve the can-do statement of that mission. After understanding the student’s current abilities, the mission should be focused 100% on supporting the student to make an improvement from the initial to the final creation, and achieving the related can-do statement. The goal is to focus on the skill ability of the trainee; not how much of the homework a learner is able to complete or understand.
